This was what motivated the composer to write <strong>Chromex<\/strong>,  a five-piece suite for three marimbas written for the members of the newly created Mallets trio and which was within the genre they were most interested in at the time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The composition calls for full musical complicity from the three performers, so that they become a single instrument. There are large doses of virtuosity but, above all, what stands out is the sound and visual plasticity (in live performances.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"> <strong>Chromex<\/strong> was premiered by Mallets trio and later recorded on CD.
